If you are having issues with Call Manager not being able to connect to a device/network, a simple ping command may help you get a better understanding of the situation.
But remember, pinging from a device to Call Manager doesn’t necessarily mean that Call Manager can ping back. We need to find a way to test pinging from the Call Manager.
But wait – you don’t necessarily need to rush to the CLI.
We can carry out a basic ping test right from within Call Manager itself.
Simply head over to Call Manager > OS Administration > Services > Ping
From here, we can send pings right from the GUI, with control over how many packets we will send, the packet size and the packet interval.
